Local guy has a 1975 Sunn Concert Bass Head for sale. a Sunn replacement- there are some faint codes on the magnet cover that would match with Sunn factory part numbers. Different strokes and all, but if the transistors truly ARE hard to find these days, on an amp that old I'd be really concerned. I wanted to give it to the guy, but he insisted on paying me something.
After researching Sunn serial numbers in some forums, this seems to jive. Here is a list of the first letter showing the year of manufacture. I picked up an SVT in the music store before buying the Sunn and thought 'what kind of idiot would buy one of these when something as light as the Sunn is out?' I now own two 300W tube heads and sold the Sunn years ago for $75. MUST SELL I have played through a 1973 Sunn Coliseum Bass amp into my 2 Sunn. Fender Tube amp codes: 1953-1970 - (look for a 2 letter code stamped on the tube chart inside the back of the amp)- the first letter is the year, and the second letter is the month. An amp stamped NA would have been made in Jan. Wrong amp for me, but ahhhh.I was young and didn't know much. Serial numbers for Sunn amps « Reply 1 on: March 30, 2001, 07:46:00 pm » There should be a serial number either stamped into the chassis on the back or on an adhesive plate also on the rear of the chassis. The 1st and 2nd indicate the year of manufacture for the 6 digit serial numbers which weve been using since 2000. I play with a light touch, and I needed an amp to move air. The 1st digit indicates the year of manufacture for the 4 & 5 digit serial numbers, these were used from 1989-1999. I got if fixed, and after living with its 175 watts (that sounded like 20 with a Rick 4003 and a 2x15 Sunn cab) for a few more months, finally got rid of the POS. After a ten week wait for parts, the tech said 'these transistors are really getting hard to find.'
Need For Speed Underground 2 Android Apk Free Download on this page. The magic smoke spectacularly escaped first set, second song at a gig in the middle of nowhere. Amazingly, it took it and sounded almost good. Zero decent sound until I got a 10-band graphic and boosted practically everything. It sounded like crap the entire time I used it. Survived plane flights and boat rides and lots of mistreatment, but. Had one and toured with in in the late 70s.
